Our traditional ^***superior hotel is located at the foot of the Radstädter Tauern, nestled in the marvellous mountain landscape on the sunny side of Obertauern - an ideal location for your winter holiday or summer holiday.

With the free ski bus (every 30 - 60 minutes there and back, bus stop is right outside the hotel) or via the well-maintained main road, you are within quick, convenient reach of the winter sports El Dorado of Obertauern, while the ski resorts of Ski amadé are also just a stone's throw away.

In summer, a spacious holiday paradise for families, fly fishermen and hikers awaits you with its own wildlife and adventure park, swimming pond, 18 km of fishing waters at the Pongauer Taurach and the Tauernkarsee as well as the "Fürstenbrunn" fishing pond and much more.

The Hotel zur Post has been a popular refreshment stop for travelers for centuries and has been run by us, the Kohlmayr family, for generations.

The atmosphere in our 800-year-old vaulted rooms allows today's guests to still savor the style of the "old" inn. All of the rooms have been completel renovated in recent years, though always with an eye to maintaining the historical substance of the building.
