18 km of private waters in a pure mountain stream
Tauernkarsee: ca. 3 ha lake, 3 rowing boats are available free of charge
Fishing ponds: ca. 11.000 m² for beginners and less experienced anglers
Stocked with: brook and rainbow trout, Arctic char, grayling and carp
Excellent selection of flies (on the recommendation of fly-rod designer, R. Baginski) – and there is a fly-tying table available for the use of all true pros.

Fishing holidays Tauernkarsee Obertauern

Fly fishers are so enthusiastic about the young, 18 km-long Taurach with its waterfalls, pools, and its slow- and fast-running currents. The Taurach is only 300 m from the hotel.
For a change of pace, there is also our wild and romantic Tauernkarsee (located at 1658 m above sea level), a lake which lies just below the Tauernkaralm. 3 boats are available for the use of our guests.

300 m from the hotel is our wildlife park and the Fürstenbrunn pond, where we raise young fish to restock our fishing waters.

Taurach and Tauernkarsee are exclusive fish waters for "catch & release" - fly fishing.
