Hike Description:

From Obertauern tourist office to the sports center and towards the Seekarhaus. From the Seekarhaus uphill along the paved road until you reach a fork (Oberhütte-Akkarscharte 702). Now on a gravel road uphill to the left, past the Dikt’n Alm, a somewhat steeper climb, passing through a number of switchbacks until, after the last bridge, you can see the Krummschnabelsee to the left. The

Krummschnabelsee, a moorland tarn with a water temperature of as much as 24°C, is a great spot to take a break, enjoy the views and take a refreshing dip. Hikers wanting to enjoy a more leisurely experience have the option of riding the "Grünwaldkopf" chair lift up to the same elevation as the Hochalm.
